We’re excited to share that for the tenth year in a row, we’ve kept all benefits the same across the Scheme’s options, despite the challenges in healthcare. We’ve also increased the benefit limits for 2026 to keep up with inflation.
The Ingwe Option contribution will increase by 9.9% to R645 per month, which remains one of the lowest increases in the industry. When setting this increase, we focused on keeping the Scheme sustainable while being mindful of the financial climate and the needs of our members.
New in 2026
HappyHub
HappyHub is students’ one-stop hub for all wellbeing support. It complements existing tools like Wysa, Hello Doctor and Ingwe network provider visits. Students can track their health and earn rewards through Multiply, as well as use Benefit Buddy in the Momentum App to quickly get answers about their benefits. They can also upgrade to Multiply Engage Plus for only R195 per month via the Momentum App or by sending SMS “JOIN” to 40717, gaining even more tools to support their health and wellbeing.

Free access to Wysa for wellness support!
All student members over 18 can now access Wysa for free.
Wysa is an anonymous, private wellness tool available through the Momentum App that offers 24/7 support for anything from exam stress to relationship advice.
After downloading and registering as a user on the Momentum App, students can:
- get 24/7 private support
- access membership details, benefits, Multiply and Wysa
complete a free health and fitness assessment in under 12 minutes.
New international student onboarding link
Our digital team has created a unique link to help new international students who join Momentum Medical Scheme’s Ingwe Option via digital and social media platforms.

Student compliance made easy
Staying compliant is simple when memberships are renewed on time. Momentum Medical Scheme reminds students to renew at least two months before their membership expires. To make this easier, we’ve created a quick, three-step online process. Please help support compliance by verifying student membership before completing their registration.
Here’s how:
- Verify membership online
Visit the MMSA Login and select Embassy or Academic Institution. - Membership – Member Search
Enter the student’s membership number, passport number, or country of origin. - Check membership status
View membership details or download the certificate to confirm the coverage period.
We’ve also launched a new study visa page.
Please note the radiology report, including the single view chest x-ray, is no longer a requirement to renew your study VISA, as per Immigration Act – Immigration Directive No. 05 of 2023, and will therefore no longer be covered by Momentum Medical Scheme.

Operating hours over the festive season
Happy holidays and thank you for your continued support. Our
walk-in centres will close at 12:00 on 24 December 2025 and reopen on5 January 2026. During this time, we will still be available through our digital channels.
