Laura Primic

Iridologist
& Bio-Resonance
As a Bio-Resonance Practitioner and Iridologist, Laura is deeply passionate about health and well-being.
She previously ran a homoeopathic and herbal medicine practice, supporting patients with a wide range of health concerns, from depression to autoimmune conditions.
Her journey into healthcare was shaped by personal experience. Following her husband’s year-long, undiagnosed illness and her mother’s breast cancer diagnosis, Laura felt called to deepen her knowledge and expand her diagnostic skills. She wanted to better understand the underlying causes of illness rather than simply managing symptoms.
Today, Laura combines her holistic background with a more scientific, investigative approach to help patients gain insight into their health and support their body’s natural healing processes.
Ilse Steenkamp

Body-Alignment
Ilse is a qualified Body Alignment Practitioner with a background in Psychology, Counselling, and Hypnotherapy.
Her work is rooted in the understanding that emotional stress, trauma, and the accumulation of daily pressures can significantly impact physical health.
Through her experience, she has observed how unresolved emotions and prolonged stress often manifest as muscular tension, skeletal imbalances, and chronic discomfort. While talking therapies and medication may help manage symptoms, the body often continues to hold onto stored stress — affecting overall wellbeing.
She believes that pain is the body’s way of communicating that something is out of balance. Emotional strain can create physical restrictions, limiting movement and contributing to discomfort.
This treatment is particularly beneficial for individuals experiencing physical discomfort related to stress, trauma, or injury, and for those seeking a more holistic approach to wellbeing.

Johan S Roos

Stroke Specialist
Dr Johan S Roos, a Specialist Physician with a special interest in stroke and rehabilitation, strongly endorses the role of rehabilitation at Spescare.
He emphasises the vital contribution Occupational Therapists make in the recovery of stroke patients. According to Dr Roos, the role of the Occupational Therapist can never be underestimated. Through close interaction with patients, Occupational Therapists are often able to identify concerns related to appetite, balance, emotional changes, cognitive functioning, and other physical challenges that may otherwise go unnoticed.
Their detailed assessments and ongoing involvement provide valuable insight into additional recovery strategies that can significantly benefit patients in the long term.
As Dr Roos states, “Never underestimate the role Occupational Therapists have to play in stroke rehabilitation.”
